Printers get busy in December, so work back from a finished PDF in the first week of the month.

1November

Ask each person for one or two dishes and a line about where each came from. Type them, or photograph the cards for an AI draft you check line by line.

2By December 1

Check every label, tab name and margin note one last time, then export the A5 PDF. The online binder stays editable, so later recipes can still go in.

3Early December

Ask your print shop for its current December turnaround before you commit. If paper cannot be ready in time, share the online binder by link on the day.

Is it a printed book?

Not from us. forever.recipes is an online recipe binder. You download a print-ready A5 PDF and print it with any local or online printer you choose, agreeing the paper, binding, price and delivery with that printer. We do not print, bind or ship.

Is a personalised recipe book the same thing?

Yes. Personalised is the British spelling; it is the same gift. The PDF is A5, 148 by 210 mm, a standard paper size in the UK and Europe. In the US it is not a standard size, so ask the printer to print on larger paper and trim.

What can I personalize?

The cover label (their name, a family saying or the dish they are known for), the cloth color (terracotta, forest, navy or cream), the chapter tabs and their colors, and a handwritten-style margin note under any recipe.

Can I start from handwritten recipe cards?

Yes. Photograph the card and you get an editable AI draft in the cook's own words, which you check line by line before saving. To keep their handwriting on the page, you can upload the card photo as the sheet's photo, shown above the typed recipe. The free plan includes 3 AI drafts a day; Forever Club includes 20 a day.
